Charming hillside villa with stunning views from balconies .The villa has been lovingly restored and is a comfortable family home from home. We enjoyed Guzzano village life and visits to Lucca and Siena. We found a great welcome from Eleanor and she was very helpful during our stay.

Everything was completely amazing. The view, the pool, the villa itself. It really was a home from home (actually better than my home!) Maria has thought of every thing you could possibly need. We are a family that love to cook, but even the fact that there were so many pots and pans and utensils amazed us. This holiday was a birthday present to myself and my grown up children, and they said to me is it everything you dreamed of? The answer was yes and more. We were perfectly placed for trips to Florence, Lucca and Pisa, but on the final day went to Lerici beach and Cinque Terre. What a wonderful week, wish we had have had the time to have 2 weeks, but will definitely be back

A lovely house with outstanding views. Very well equipped and the pool was most welcome on the warm days, very refreshing after the initial chill start! Many great restaurants in nearby Bagni di Lucca, and surrounding villages. Beautiful area with lots to do and see, very peaceful, a really relaxing holiday.
June 2017
After a short ten to fifteen minute drive from Bagni di Lucca we arrived at Guzzano, a small village in the mountains. We immediately recognized our beautiful home for the week from the photo which Maria emailed to us. As we entered it just got better and better with its traditional charm and interesting artwork in all the rooms. It was equipped with everything you could possibly need along with extremely comfortable beds, wood burner, DVDs player and wifi. The outside space is perfect for relaxing by the pool, drinking in the view and enjoying the acrobatic flying displays put on by the swallows and swifts. We also enjoyed following the little yellow painted markers on the stones which pointed out the footpaths to the surrounding villages and countryside. There were also blue routes for mountain bikers. We found lots of places to eat in Bagni di Lucca but the “Circulo di Forestiere” quickly became a favourite for both the food and friendly atmosphere. The villa is ideally situated for visits to Pisa, the Coast and of course Florence which we did by train which was easy from Fornoli station where there is ample free car parking. Our stay was wonderful and we would love to have spent longer enjoying the house, the village, the walks and relaxing views. We must also mention Sophie who was there on hand to offer any help we might need and the friendly villagers who were welcoming. We thoroughly recommend this lovely home to all.
We had a wonderful time at Casa Kennedy. The house is beautiful, inside and out. It really is a lovely house. The location is superb too with lovely views of the Tuscan Hills. I could not fault any aspect of the house or the location, not even the steep climb from Bagni di Lucca which you soon get used to. Bagni Di Lucca is a charming little town, just 10 minutes away in the car and of course you have Lucca, Florence, Forte die Marmi etc. My only tip might be too avoid Florence if you are there in August, it is so crowded, but then if you have not been before... I would thoroughly recommend Casa Kennedy. You would not be disappointed.
August 2016
Casa Kennedy is in an idyllic location and provides more than all you need for a get away from it all holiday. The facilities are excellent with all the equipment you need for a great holiday being provided and the local lady who looks after the house was extremely helpful. It was absolutely wonderful to have the benefit of the pool to cool down in under the Tuscan sun whilst later in the day having the benefit of bedrooms in the house which did not require air conditioning. Just close the shutters, open the windows and a good nights sleep in the every comfortable beds is available despite the outside temperature. We were also able to enjoy the great restaurants in Bagna Di Lucca, one of which has gone to the top of our all time favourite holiday restaurant list. Maria was very helpful and responsive during the booking process and provided all the information required in a timely and complete manner. We really enjoyed our time in Casa Kennedy and would not hesitate to go back.

Bagni di Lucca is a collection of villages on the edge of the Garfagnana area of northern Tuscany. It has been famous for its thermal springs since Roman times, known for their healing properties. Today it is a bustling town with a strong local community and true to an authentic Italian traditional way of living.
There are many excellent restaurants in the town and surrounding villages offering good value locally produced food and wine. The below are a few of our favourites that we recommend:

There are lots of things do in the Serchio Valley from the adverturous and active visitor to those looking for culture and relaxation.
